Jonathan Oliveira is a culinary arts professional with ten years of solid executive chef experience. He has expert knowledge of banquet service and menu development through his years of work at The Wamsutta Club. With his talents at recruiting, motivating and developing long term employees, Jonathan maintains a loyal and diligent staff working for and around him. Years of restaurant experience have established in him a rapport with people o fall ages, cultures and beliefs; as well as an effective means of dealing with stressful situations. In all, Jonathan has been cooking in a professional atmosphere for 18 years. He started in 1989 as a line cook at the Melting Pot, became head line cook at The Wamsutta Club three years later, and then served as Sous Chef at Joseph’s Restaurant for a year before taking the position of Head Chef at the Wamsutta Club. His Certificate in Culinary Arts from Bristol Community College and his years of restaurant and managerial experience have produced a chef that is well rehearsed in everything from your basic backyard barbeque to fine, classical cuisine—and everything in between.

Jarrod Ross is the function coordinator of A La Carte Catering. In this role, he is responsible for the planning, staffing, organizing and executing of every A La Carte event. He comes to this position with a variety of experience in the foodservice industry. His organizational skills were first developed when he was a teenager and in charge of three summer camps for children at a church in Swansea. He then worked as a waiter at Ruby Tuesday Restaurant for four years. During his last year at Ruby Tuesday he was also a waiter at the Mattapoisett Chowder House. When the Chowder House moved into a larger facility, Jarrod became the dining room manager and function coordinator. He gained experience in planning, staff management, and employee training. These skills were enhanced at his next position at The Wamsutta Club. His various experiences have made him into the well-rounded caterer that is the backbone of A La Carte Catering. Jarrod is the host with the most—he is personable and responsible, organized and invested in providing the best possible experience to his customers and their guests. He has the skills and the knowledge necessary to plan and execute a successful, enjoyable, and memorable event.
